Hello there!
Just incase you don't know me already, my name is Sam, but I go by SamxRiot. I'm the Promotions Director for WGMU radio as well as a DJ. I offer two very rockin' shows. The first of which I call The JOLT! It airs Tuesday's at 8am, and believe me. it wakes you up. The second show I have airs in two different one hour segments, Wednesday's at 2pm and Thursdays at 2pm as well. It's called Rock n Roll Hideaway and I play the BEST of rock rotation and local music for you. And while thats an exellent run down of me, lets get to this blogging thing.
This week I was lucky enough to have an awesome local band named Square Trio to join me in studio on Wednesday. They rocked my world, and if they didn't rock yours soon you'll have a podcast to download! PLUS Saturday night at 8pm in Damon's (The bar and grill on the bottom floor of Sub I.) they will be playing a show, which will be hosted by me! So I really hope you can all make it out. If you're curious what Square Trio sounds like just check out their myspace, it's myspace.com/squaretrio. :) They are a pretty rockin' band!
So here's the low down on the band. There are THREE multi-talented musicians named Bo, Matt and Aaron. All three guys will hug you if you let them, they aren't so up to on the spot performances, but if you get them in a hot room, they might take off their clothes and give you a lap dance. (Okay maybe I'm exaggerating... but tis so funny.) The guys are all very down to earth, and generally love to play music. Though they call the music they play "barncore" it's acctually much more mature and wonderful than that. So I do hightly recommend that you make it to their show on Saturday.
On one more note... I want you to check out The JOLT next Tuesday to hear the very first show with my co-host Judith Epe. It will be much fun and I can promise you that there will most likely be chaos!
